“Delight yourself in the LORD, and He will give you the desires of your heart.” Psalm 37:4 BSB
I’ve shared the above image before. It’s only one half and not the pair of a sculpture that stands beneath the trees on the grounds of Mepkin Abby. In today’s share I pair to parallel words, to sift and sort thru their value and would suggest making a mental note to edit between upper and lower case letters.

A picture of my wedding day to the Beloved Jay William Biller on July 28th of the most happy year 1983. My most favorite of all the wedding gifts? … patiently waiting thru the paperwork process at the PSD and to be told at the end that he and I would be traveling together to his first duty station: Misawa, Japan.
“I shall betroth you to me in faithfulness. And you shall know the LORD.” Hosea 2:20 ESV

I found that my husband is an adventure just waiting to be had!

My single most closest earthly companion and long, LONG time very best friend! I love living life with him and feel overwhelmingly blessed! He’s never a dull moment! Instigates eyeball rolls; ushers in lots of chuckles. Is chock full of gifts and talents and often carries a bag of mixed tricks. When I am weak, he is strong; down here that works both ways, and vice versa.

I deeply appreciate the paths we’ve chosen to walk together; the sights we’ve taken in and the variety of things seen and heard and learned along the way.
“For your Maker is your husband, the LORD of hosts is His name; and the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer, the God of the whole earth He is called.” Isaiah 54:5 ESV

Now as much as I cherish the time we both spend together, the truth is, I don’t always get him. On numerous occasions, the way we express ourselves, reveals we process and operate differently.

Sometimes in the moment, it’s something we can both laugh about. Other times, though, it takes some time, before it becomes something to sigh and quietly maybe ‘heh’ about. I find here in our relationship MANY valuable gemstones to glean about God’s refining use of opposites!

Tongue in cheek I refer to it as “Yah’s expertise in the use of wet work.”And by that I mean the implementation of skilled and a highly trained agent to expertly remove personal persona’s posing a threat to the common good. Upon which He carefully stages or, better yet, effectively disposes of the body!

“Grace and peace to you, many times over, as you deepen in your experience with GOD, and Jesus our Savior.” 2 Peter 1:2 MSG
Within the bounds of this truly wonderful, healthy, and fruitful marriage, I have mined countless nuggets that I hope you won’t mind me sharing. Keep in mind I’m still learning, so it’s likely to keep growing: anything with two heads is a monster, he is committed, this marriage is forever, love the giver don’t just seek the gifts, change is present, his mercies are new every day, he holds a sword for me, and I am secure in his love.

My husband possesses very personable traits, has a tender heart, an ever generous spirit, enjoys a well placed laugh, and appreciates irony. You might discern he has a real talent for keeping me young.
Here recently he came home from work early, in really rough shape. He’d had an especially tough day and said he needed to lay down and rest, pray, get his head back on straight. He tells me what time he’d like to be woken up in order to make the drive down to meet up with our life group.
When that time came, I did as he’d asked…

…only to my surprise this is what I found laying there instead!
Now I’d been sitting and reading, right outside the door! I never heard a peep! He was amazingly quite, super stealthy! I glanced around the room, wondering where he could have gotten off to. My gaze traveled to the bathroom doorway where I could make out his eye peeking at me thru its sliver of a crack! He laughed; I laughed. Walking thru the doorway I find him been standing sweet as you please in the center of the bathtub! He’d been planning and watching and waiting…and exercising a fair amount of patience!
That surely must’ve been some kind of praying and resting!
All sorts of rhythm and rhyme fill the air; dancing, they twirl about, shaping little tiny silvery and gold notes: Song of Songs, Baptism, Christ Coming Again…the Glorious Joys of Marriage!

What a position! What a seat! What a Relationship!
“Marriage is the beautiful design of the Almighty a great mystery of Christ and His Church!”
Ephesians 5:32 TPT
“Magnify the LORD with me; let us exalt His name together!” Psalm 34:3 BSB

The other half of the aforementioned pair is the beloved disciple, John. I used this and another one of him holding hands with Jesus on the home page of this web site. I love the intensity of his rapt expression and marvel at the way the artist was able to capture it in stone!
“The grace (blessing and favor) of the Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah) be with all the saints (God’s holy people, those set apart for God, to be, as it were exclusively His). Amen (so be it)!”
Revelation 22:21 AMPC
