When Jesus saw His ministry drawing huge crowds, He climbed a hillside. Those who were apprenticed to Him, the committed, climbed with Him. Arriving at a quiet place, He sat down and taught His climbing companions.
This is what He said:
“You are blessed when you’re at the end of your rope. With less of you there is more of God and His rule.” Matthew 5:1-4 MSG
It’s early yet, so the sun’s still gaining strength. Having only just begun its ascent, there’s a certain challenge met as I sit and watch over the bird feeder out front. While I can make out the shape of the birds, it’s impossible to distinguish any color or finer details; so it’s best I wait patiently as the sun makes it way up and around the house. I truly love to greet and watch every bird but there’s a special delight to be found in seeing the blue, red or gray feathers first.
Blue – The Lord our Healer
healing and regeneration, living water, heaven, hope, visitation, peace, Holy Spirit, love
Red – The Lord our Righteousness
the blood and everything it stands for, anointing, victory, salvation, sacrifice, redemption, resurrection, fire, wine, conquest, warfare, forgiveness
Gray – holiness, hiddenness, cloud, presence, prayer, incense, wisdom, transfiguration, armor
** From one of my favorite online sites to visit: Prophetic Worship Banners, Silk for praise, prayer, worship and wear
Jehovah-Nissi, the Lord is our Banner. I might never have known this was one of God’s names had it not been for a special friend, whose name was Rita. She made a living supporting her family by creating worship banners for churches and cathedrals. I just loved visiting her workshop which was located in a loft that sat above her living room. I walked about and explored the many cubbies of satins and silks, velvets and such; poked thru while nosing about thru countless containers of finials, tassels and trims.
“And Moses built an altar and called the name of it, The Lord is my Banner.” Exodus 17:15 AMPC
There is a Place I love to go;
it’s where I meet;
it’s where I’m known.
“He has brought me to His house of wine, and His banner over me is love.” Song of Songs 2:4 BSB
This Banner over my person and Woo’er of my soul, draws my thoughts much like a little house finch I watch as it comes to perch just outside my window. The sun’s rays are a bit more bright but not enough to take a good picture.
It’s as I shift to move and walk in another direction, a sense of ‘hush’ becomes felt in capturing the Splendor of this Morning’s Mist as it skims across the surface of the pond, situated just on the other side of our backyard fence.

“And the temple was filled with the smoke of the glory of GOD and His power…”
I’ve been passing thru what feels a lot like fire. I keep repeating the mantra: “Be courageous, stay calm, serve well.” Sometimes I’m better at doing this than I am at others.
Thank You Lord, for the moments that recalibrate, for the safety of folds that enclosed like angel wings. It’s comforting, anchoring, to be able to so trust what You establish and display.

“The Angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him [who revere and worship Him with awe]
and each of them He delivers.” Psalm 34:7 AMPC
As with the coming of this new day, may there be a refreshed sense of worship that infuses my every thought, word and deed. I delight to partake as Family waddles along…
…and I thank You for the first goslings of spring!

Most everyone’s familiar with and probably referenced having their “ducks in a row”. I think it’s kinda neat to be seeing it here with these geese just now.
“If we live by the [Holy] Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit. [If by the Holy Spirit we have our life in God, let us go forward walking in line, our conduct controlled by the Spirit].” Galatians 5:25 AMPC

And as I consider and weigh this path I’ve been called to and am choosing; may I continual to revisit the questions raised about what abiding in and with Christ looks like for me, personally…and how I might go about speaking of it with others.
I don’t want to forget and have come to this conclusion:

There’s an Imprint to Daily Art; a Beautiful Existence we walk as set apart.

A Painted Bunting! Look it up! You will surely be amazed! This picture doesn’t do it justice! It can be a little bird easily mis-identified when waiting on more sun light! 😉
