“Consider it a great joy, my brethren, when you encounter trials of various kinds, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.”

I’m so very thankful! My need for You is proved constant and endless, the grip of faith and my trust in You continue to strengthen.
“So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.”

Circumstance left me reeling and stretched; I became a bit weary in the process. But, oh, how I so deeply appreciate the value Your safe space!
“If you don’t know what you’re doing, pray to the Father; He loves to help! Ask Him for wisdom and He will give it! He won’t see your lack of wisdom as an opportunity to scold you over your failures! He will overwhelm your failures with His generous grace!”

Morning Glories, always so beautiful!
To be honest with You the discombobulation leaves me feeling especially grateful for these moments when I can’t hide from any deeper issues that might be hiding, unchallenged and so left lurking. Thank You for bringing them to the fore so we can talk about them!
“Anyone who meets a testing challenge head-on and manages to stick it out is mighty fortunate!”

Your faithfulness is ever present. Your holiness, unshakeable, and a tangible thing. Yet, here, You are so very personable, so generous of heart, tender of ear, restorative in touch.
“For such persons loyally in love with God, the reward is life and more life!”
I love when Your word dispels insecurities and fears! I don’t understand everything but there’s a sense of peace and greater clarity in that!
“This is why we abandon everything morally impure and all forms of wicked conduct. Instead with a sensitive spirit we absorb God’s Word, which has been implanted within our nature. The Word of Life has power to continually deliver us, so don’t just listen to the Truth and not respond to it. That’s the essence of self deception!”

So as I rise once more in the wee of the hour to sit by this open window;
as leaves from the trees begin to softly rustle, release;
there’s a soft sound in their pitter pattering down.
A dense fog rolls in to settle upon and fill a quiet street.
Moment like this matter and I want to say thank You
for everything that You’ve been doing,
I don’t know what I’d do without You!

“Whoever catches a glimpse of the revealed counsel of God — even out of the corner of their eye, and sticks with it — is no distracted scatterbrain but a man or woman of action. That person will find delight and affirmation in the action.
So let His Word become like poetry written and fulfilled by your life!”
(The above scriptures referenced are from James, chapter 1, using a variety of Bible translations.)
My prayer for each of us today is that our trust in God will grow deeper. While it just isn’t possible to account for all of life’s variables, I pray we’ll embrace by faith the peace promised by Jesus. May we truly rest in the fact that God’s plan is perfect: His authority undeniable, His purpose on track, His attendance too infinite to comprehend….the heart of His timing…flawless!
I bless this day…and you, too, dear friend…
in Jesus name…until next time, amen.
