Come Walk with Me along the Shores of the Sea

Come Walk with Me along the Shores of the Sea

🎼 Tell me the stories of Jesus, I love to hear;
things I would ask Him to tell me, if He were here:
scenes by the wayside, tales of the sea,
stories of Jesus…tell them to me! 🎶

“Honor the LORD for the glory of His name! Worship the LORD in the splendor of His holiness!”

“Honor the LORD, you heavenly beings; honor the LORD for His glory and strength!”

🎹 First let me hear how the children stood round His knee,
and I shall fancy His blessing resting on me;
words full of kindness, deeds full of grace,
all in the lovelight of Jesus’ face 🎵

“The voice of the LORD sounds through sky and sea;
the pride of man will be humbled.
His voice is above the waters;

arrogance will be degraded.
The God of glory thunders;

the LORD alone exalted.
He thunders over the mighty waters;

idols completely vanish.”

“The voice of the LORD is powerful! The voice of the LORD is majestic!”

🎤 Into the city I’d follow the children’s band,
waving a branch of the palm tree high in my hand;
one of His heralds, yes, I would sing
loudest hosannas, “Jesus is King!” 🗣️🎶

“The voice of the LORD splits the mighty cedars; heady, the aroma of Sanctuary!
The voice of the LORD flashes flames of fire; Holy synapse, faster than lightning!
The voice of the LORD shakes the wilderness; in a place better known as Sacred.
The voice of the LORD makes the deer labor and give birth; Righteousness calls to Mercy.
The voice of the LORD strips the forests bare; where nothing is hidden, yet everything’s Covered. Amen.

“In His temple all cry, “GLORY! Who can ascend His holy mountain?
The LORD sits enthroned and reigns as King forever! His Scepter bestows clean hands and a pure heart!

“The LORD gives His people strength; may it be as He has spoken.
The LORD blesses His people with peace,” the precious name of Jesus!

A hint of salt clings to the air that I breathe. It takes a bit of adjusting to but I’m so grateful it doesn’t change. I’ve come to delight in its rather fine quality and ever so deeply appreciate its terms.

Today I pray for others who seek, who desire to drawn nigh…and join me here by The Sea.

A humble act of worship inspired by the words of Psalm 29 and Isaiah 2; a scene set atop my piano as I play, “Tell Me the Stories of Jesus”; and as depicted and illustrated in “The Song of the Sea” (D. Morgan) and “My Beautiful Broken Shell” (Carol Hamilton Adams).

Thank You, LORD, for Your nearness always! For being ever so generous to connect thru countless words and images to encourage us! Thank You for all the good You’re creatively working out this very minute. We don’t always understand what’s going on but choose to trust You in it. Thank You for the powerful gift of prayer, an ever growing unshakeable trust in Your Word and the essence and glory of worship!

Offered and forever lifted up in the mighty and ever beautiful name of Jesus!

Amen.
