Hello, friend …

I have a picture I’d like to share with you.
A lot of doves have been roosting around our house recently.
They’re perched along our fence lines
and sitting high up on our roof;
foraging in the mulch beds
and hanging out like a family
in the trees and shrubs.

On my way into the kitchen the other day
I happened to notice this.
I think one of them got startled
and flew into the window.
I checked outside
but didn’t find any injured birds.
I’m hoping it recovered quickly
and went about its way!
I’m sure, though, that for a few moments
it was really quite stunned!

BUT…just look at the detail
in the ‘print’ left behind!
If you study the image
(that looks a bit like an x-ray)
you can make out it’s form:
beak, wings and tail…
and what looks like a Hand!
What a lovely reminder of
Holy Spirit’s Presence
in every given situation!
Also of the Bible verse:
we are the hands and feet of Jesus!
His hands touching us
and thru us touching the world!
Keep your eyes open today
for the Imprint of the Dove!

No matter what you might be faced with
or are facing now:
