The Best Way to Feather Your Nest

The Best Way to Feather Your Nest

It’s been a while since I’ve last written a post. Life has been full! I’ve been keeping busy, taking in new sights and sounds. Indeed, learning plenty, at the sweetest spot to be found…Jesus’ feet.

Yesterday I found a little blue bird feather. Picking it up, I gently twirled it about between my thumb and index finger, fascinated by the play of light and how it affected its color. I’ve a passion for collecting feathers and have staged them around my home and in my truck, using a variety of containers. To tell you the truth, each one says something pretty personal to me. The timing of each feather found has been a kindly reminder of some really powerful promises of God! These finely formed constructions remind me He’s keeping His Word! He knows how easy it is for me to get distracted by the drama around here and He knows how important it is for me to keep my thoughts on track!

In the wee hour of this a.m., I consider this feather and revisit these promises.

“He will cover you with His feathers; you will take refuge under His wings. His faithfulness will be a protective shield.”
Psalm 91:4 HCSB

“If anyone lives in Almighty God’s safe place, the Most High God protects them.” Psalm 91:1 EASY

My life is become all about God’s ‘safe place’. “In Christ Alone” I am found… and by His grace, may I stay that way! My only boasting point will be in the Cross of Christ!

Father God, grant me Wisdom! Guide, guard and direct my steps as I learn to follow in Jesus’ Footsteps!

“I will say to the Lord, ‘You are the strong place where I will be safe. You are my God, and I trust in You.’” Psalm 91:2 EASY

Do you know what it is that I’ve heard in return? …From this Entirely Holy, Perfect, Generous Being, words of compassionate mercy, entirely undeserved. received by faith!

Yes, that would seem, to me, to be His pretty big to do! And as I soak in the wonder of such GOODNESS in the quiet dark, I thought I would take a moment to share about it with you!

“Jesus replied,

Where the rubber meets the road is generally where we find Him!

Godspeed, my friend! May you be strengthened in all manner of Godly wisdom and may your faith deepen as you continue growing in your own walk with Jesus, for anything not of faith is sin and doesn’t benefit us!

Amen.
