These elegant tubes look like tiny trumpets to me; heralding in Cardinal directions:
East – associated with beginnings and origins
West – a place of gathering and hope
North – pairs with tones of power and judgement
South – often linked with blessing and abundance

They appear bright and sound loud amongst colors of a much different palette!
An interesting read, Numbers 10, in which GOD gives His children instruction on the making and use of trumpets. In encouraging another last night, it came up as a new topic. This morning I look up to revisit, read and reread again, using a variety of translations; mostly due to a personal love re: the subject of Covenant.

I often find myself saying to folks, “Silver and gold, I have none. But what I do have I share with you in the name of Jesus.” These pictures taken yesterday were of things that stood out as I walked along our community’s green way.
For the past few years these fields have played host to a rather steadfast passion vine. It grew to thrive in spite of pestilence and obstacle…and I was overjoyed to be a witness of it doing so! This year for the first time I see waves of honeysuckle completely taking the area over. A accompanying cloud of heavy sweetness clings and I pause to take the bigger picture in. It all rather looks like a prolific blanket of little tiny trumpets: growing, abounding, overcoming and flowing! Not just the white that first caught my eye, but the deep golden hues of blossoms been here a while.
I ponder the wonder of Cardinal direction, the beauty found in the Compass Rose, and the glorious sounds these little trumpets make.
GOD, You’re so good! There’s no one like You! Thank You for taking such good care of us! You have stood right by our side, fought the good fight, and won the battle for us!
“When you arrive in your own land and go to war against your enemies who attack you, sound the alarm with the trumpets. Then the Lord your God will remember you and rescue you from your enemies. Blow the trumpets in time of gladness, too, sounding them at your annual festivals and at the beginning of each month. And blow trumpets over your burnt offerings and peace offerings. The trumpets will remind your God of His covenant with you. I AM the LORD your GOD!”
Numbers 10:9-10 NLT
