“God says, “Rebuild the road! Clear away the rocks and stones
so my people can return from captivity.””
Isaiah 57:14 NLT

So I’ve managed a flat, done damage to my undercarriage,
caused and shed a few tears, keep reliving Groundhog Day!
God’s got a timely word…planned a critical phase for that!
“Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean.
Your filth will be washed away, and you will no longer worship idols.
And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you.
I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart.
And I will put My Spirit in you so that you will follow My decrees and be careful
to obey My regulations.”
Ezekiel 36:25-27 NLT

To what am I connecting to? Is it beneficial to myself…to others?
Would God call it wholesome and good? Or am I just justifying
what it is that I want; a reflection of demise and the disease of our culture.
If judgment begins in the house of LORD…where does that leave me, I wonder.
“The High and Lofty One who lives in eternity, the Holy One, says this:
“I live in the high and holy place with those whose spirits are contrite and humble.
I restore the crushed spirit of the humble and revive the courage
of those with repentant hearts. For I will not fight against you forever;
I will not always be angry. If I were, all people would pass away—
all the souls I have made.
I was angry, so I punished these greedy, covetous people.
I withdrew from them, but they kept going on in their own stubborn way.”
Isaiah 57:15-17 NLT

It’s no joke, the going gets tough!
Faith doesn’t mean there isn’t any fatigue!
The cliffs they jut and can run straight up!
What if I’m not strong enough? Well one thing’s for certain.
I can’t just do whatever it is I like and want
when it leaves someone else knocked down and hurting!
“I have seen what they do,
but I will heal them anyway!
I will lead them.
I will comfort those who mourn,
bringing words of praise to their lips.
May they have abundant peace,
both those who are near
and those who are far,”
says the Lord, who heals them.”
Isaiah 57:18-19 NLT

““But those who still reject Me are like the restless sea,
which is never still but continually churns up mud and dirt.
There is no peace for the wicked,” says my God.”
Isaiah 57:20-21 NLT
At the beginning and the end of the day, am I living out Christ?
Not to be confused with a system of do’s and don’ts…
it’s a matter of affection towards Him,
a willingness to deal with my vice!
I’m living life new now and want to pursue what HE likes!
In the midst of the drama that comes along with that
it’s good to remember, when it starts to sting and burn
and becomes a bit overwhelming.
Eyes locked on Jesus’ face….is the very best company!

There aren’t any promises that I’ll always be comfortable….

…but He promises to never leave and says…in Him…ALL things are possible!
