“And when they looked up, they saw no one except Jesus.” Matthew 17:8 BSB
The Radiance of His Holy countenance breaks through. Wrapping itself around my eyes, it slowly draws me in; pulls me close. ‘Yes,’ I say, in response to His right. What’s new begins to settle in, as what’s now old begins to fade away.

“…a bright cloud overshadowed them, and a voice from the cloud said, ‘This is my dearly loved Son, who brings Me great joy. Listen to Him.’ The disciples were terrified and fell facedown on the ground. But Jesus came over and touched them. ‘Get up,’ He said. ‘Don’t be afraid.’” Matthew 17:5b-7 NLT
I remember the day You first whispered my name…and the first time You touched me I nearly fell down! A bit shocked by the phenomenon, there wasn’t a whole lot of understanding happening on my part. Of the few things I knew for certain…I’d asked You to come live in my heart…and You gladly moved in bringing promises of change.
“At one time we thought of Christ merely from a human point of view. How differently we know Him now! When anyone belongs to Christ, they become a new person. Their old way of life has gone. Their new life has begun!” 2 Corinthians 5:16b-17 EASY
Thank You, Father, for all that You have done! Thank You for the immeasurable gift of Your Son! Everything pertaining to life, now filled with purpose, is beyond anything I could have ever hoped for, dreamed of, or imagined!
“Things never discovered or heard of before, things beyond our ability to imagine — these are the many things GOD has in store for all those who love Him.” 1 Corinthians 2:9 TPT
Ahhh, the Glory to be found in the Splendor of His Holy Mountain! Breathtaking vistas with towering views! You can try to number its spires…but You’ll not be able to count them!

I navigate deep ‘woulds’ set amongst trees of clay colors. Mountain Bluebirds sound off with a ‘few’; Sparrows chirrup their melodic ‘simple’. Woodpecker drums a rather sharp staccato; its ‘taps’ resonate and fill the air. Carefully looking all about me, I take stock of this different environment; point my feet in the direction of true north…and set out to begin my journey.
LORD, help me to not wander off but stick close to this path that’s been so very clearly marked. The ‘woulds’ to either side appear quite dense. I dare not follow my own smarts anymore but place full trust in my new Companion’s. Keep my sight straight; my vision clear and focused. The Treasure I’ve collected is infinitely dear and considered by me to be above all things, most precious. Bless each step as I continue moving forward in the mission to boldly share of it with folks from every generation!
My lungs are filled with the heady scent of fresh lumber, the refreshing dew and damp of forest greenery and mosses, mixed with these delicate undertones of many mushrooms. The gear I wear is of fortuitous measure. I am but a traveler down here. I’m sealed and seated elsewhere.
May I remain a child forever at heart even as I mature in things eternal; prone to respond with faith-filled honesty while meticulously preserving a sense of Awe and Wonder. May I make the most of these threads gifted to me, leveraging all for Your Kingdom and Glory. Forever and ever because of the love shown to me by One Who came to so passionately to court and devotedly propose on one knee. His look has pierced and melted my heart! … and see…?
He’s offered me such a Beautiful Ring!

“Beloved friends, what should be our proper response to God’s marvelous mercies? To surrender ourselves to God to be His sacred, living sacrifices. And live in holiness, experiencing all that delights His heart. For this becomes your genuine expression of worship.” Romans 12:1 TPT
