Strains of music come wake me gently; I rest in the arms of my Father’s heart. A gold band of covenant surrounds me. What joy is found in the midst of its notes. The sweetest lines fall, soft and tender as petals. They cling to me like a fragrance, unique and all its own.

My part in this? Simply trust and receive Him. Hold myself still; cease from my own efforts. Open up my heart; stretch to reach out. Allow myself to believe in it. Allow Him to reach in and search out. Allow Him to first score and then edit. Allow Him to highlight and pour. Allow Him to polish and cherish. Allow Him time to do His finer work. Welcome His arrival; allow Him to finish.

The glory of my hallelujah belongs to my Creator. As He is found to be both its Origin and Finish, it now becomes proof that what’s begun will last forever.
